Literature Text

A passionless boundary.

A flow-less river.

A frozen seagull in flight.

What should it feel like,
a body without a soul?

The forever-long unanswered question.

Can any of us, one day,
just disappear?

The imagery of bare rocks protruding
from a tide-relying horizonline,
a stormless, sunless sky:
A lifeless world. A world in shades of grey.

Can my concept of beauty compare to yours?
Do you rejoice, like I do, in the idea of stillness?
For me it mirrors eternity.

Find a reason to live.
You own it, but can you explain it?
Find your anchor: what does it bind you to?
Can you see the future when you close your eyes?
I can't.
We can't.
Either way, the future which we cannot grasp,
ties us all to
the steering wheel.

Out there where the Big Blue is merciless and wonderful.

A picture-perfect seaside afternoon.

A timeless heaven.
"My only wish; to leave behind all the days of the Earth..."

i love the pacing, the questions are very well interwoven into the imagery and makes them seamless with the rest of the poem :)
